We're Now Offering Substitute Professional Development Workshops
Substitutes will be required to attend a 2-hour workshop during the course of the school year to maintain active status on the substitute list. Participants will be paid a pro-rated hourly rate.
Workshop descriptions and dates are listed below (min 10, max 30 per session). All workshops are held at the Crouse Education Center, 780 Shoreline Drive, Aurora, IL 60504. Please use the online registration form below and sign-up today!
Tools of the Trade: Classroom Management, Teaching Strategies & Special Education Topics for Substitute Teachers
Managing the classroom and delivering the lessons; it's your responsibility, are you prepared? This 2-hour workshop will uncover and explore five core classroom management techniques, demystify special education topics, and introduce and allow you to practice various teaching strategies.

New Substitute Orientation Workshop
New substitutes will be required to attend a 2-hour orientation workshop prior to becoming active on the substitute list. This 2-hour workshop will include an explanation of District policies and procedures, the opportunity to explore classroom management techniques and teaching strategies, and ways to promote yourself as a professional substitute. Attendees will submit all completed paperwork at the workshop. Workshop dates are listed below (min 10, max 30 per session). All workshops are held at the Crouse Education Center, 780 Shoreline Drive, Aurora, IL 60504. Please use the online registration form below and only sign-up when your paperwork is complete!
