Per Board Policy 520.01
Each certificated staff member must have a current Illinois certificate that legally qualifies him/her for the duties for which he/she is employed. The staff member will be responsible for securing and maintaining a valid certificate.
Also, each teacher will be responsible for having a copy of that certificate or other valid proof of certification, and a current receipt showing certificate registration with the Regional Superintendent’s Office of Education for DuPage County no later than the end of the first week of school, each school year.
Where can I get the most current information?
Teachers are also responsible for recording their professional development activities on the State Educator Certification System (ECS) and to hold all Evidence of Completion forms for these activities. Renewal of certificates will be done directly through the ECS, as well.
