  • 1995 Yale Study showed measurable success of SO athletes in job market and independent living skills over peers not involved in a program.

  • The more students we can get involved in Special Olympics, the more students we are helping to be more prepared for life after the age of 22.

 

Athlete Leadership

  • Athletes on a D204 SO leadership committee
  • Athletes trained as Global Messengers will speak at: Elementary and Middle Schools with their letterman jackets, showing what they have accomplished, PTA, Board, Athletic Directors, faculty meetings, and other community speaking engagements.
